Today we reached a development target, for the first time all the essential game features are in place.

  • NPC Interactions

All these game features are database driven where needed. While the game was originally planned to include multiplayer support on launch, this will eventually be added later on, due to various reasons.

Hence, most of the multiplayer requirements are already taken care of. However, there will be an competitive aspect to the game from the start, the ladder.

The focus is now shifting to preparing more content at pace, adding quests, NPCs, enemies, more regions, dungeons, special encounters, and so on.

At the same time we will continue to tweak many of the existing functioning systems, in particular this means to fine tune the skill system, and the skills for the three player character classes.

When I begun working on the project blueprints, often systems were only partially setup, features missing, or only poorly implemented. Since development took off in late 2015, over time many new engine features became available, or changed entirely.

Same with all the other existing systems we worked on, and we tried many integrations, different systems, sometimes we had to update old code.

And then also more and more of those 3D models became available, resembling more closely our ideal style expectations. Again the need to update already setup characters or architecture assets.
